Long hours of work, most of the times working 7 days a week, contracts from 6 – 8 months, being away from home… These are some challenges you face when you work onboard a cruise ship… But all of this is forgotten as soon as you finish your contract and fly back home and you remember only the good moments and the good times when you were working onboard the ship…

Meeting new people from all around the world, travel to the Caribbean and see the best beaches in the world, travel to Europe and see the Colosseum of Rome, the pyramids in Egypt, go to Alaska and experience another reality and maybe finish your contract in Los Angeles and visit Hollywood studios… A job that gives you 3-4 months off a year, contracts vary in length depending on position but for an entry level role and first time joiners, contracts are 6-8 months onboard followed by a 2 month vacation. Which job in land gives you this time off?

Living onboard a cruise ship is a completely different reality than living in land, an adventure that will get you to see life in a completely different way. Why don’t give it a try? Are you a person that loves travelling? Then this is the best job to be able to travel the world and save money. In the beginning things can be hard as you get to be away from home and might be alone in a completely new environment, but after one month onboard you already start to get used to everything and start to feel one with the team, start having fun and at the same time gain valuable experience in the hospitality business that will make you a better professional.
